India has a diverse countryside and with this comes different climates as well. According to the area of India you wish to visit, you should learn a bit more about the weather in that area. The northern area of India, Rajasthan has wonderful sunny beaches. The best time to enjoy the fun and sun of this area of India is from September to April. However, if you wish to visit Kerala or other areas south, be prepared for rain from May until November.

Many vacationers love to visit Ladakh, Shimla, or Rishikesh during the summer months offering beautiful landscape as well as gorgeous valleys. For anyone that loves the outdoors and nature these are must see areas of India.

India has all kinds of amazing things to see such as forts, palaces, museums, temples, and of course, the rich culture that brings families here every year just to enjoy the aroma of the spices that float through the air.

Children also love the countryside of India as well as the family activities you can find throughout India such as a canoe ride, watching fishermen pull in their nets, jeep safaris, camel rides, elephant rides, and of course wild animal parks that introduce you to the animal life of India.

If you plan to go on a safari, it would be advisable to bring along insect spray, a hat, and even a raincoat if you will be traveling during the rainy season. India can be very hot at certain times of the year and cool during other times, and yes, it does snow in some areas of India, so you need to be prepared for the weather.

If you plan on visiting the Valley of Flowers, then you should remember to bring along a pair of comfortable shoes. The trek is close to 11 miles and you will need to walk the entire way, as there are no cars or other traffic that can get you up close and personal to this amazing valley filled with fauna and flora.

Things you do not want to forget include your camera, comfortable clothing, any medications you may need along with the prescription, travel as light as possible, but remember to bring things you will need. India is a safe destination for travelers to explore and experience all there is to see in this beautiful country. Children as well as adults will remember their vacation to India for many years to come.
