The HTC Sensation Xl comes with HTC Sense 3.5 (User Interface) on top of its Gingerbread OS (Android 2.3). This is unlike its predecessor and the HTC Sensation XE; they are both stuck with Sense 3.0.

Well the difference is quite minimal but the additions and tweaks are making HTC pull away from its competitions.

With this handset you will still be able to customize your seven Home screens with tons of widgets, shortcuts, apps, and a whole lot more. But if you want to keep things simpler, then you can choose to have below seven by simply punching into the Leap view and by dragging a screen down.

There is a minor and distinctive change on the Sensation XL; this is the default weather widget. It has been scaled back to a smaller size and something that most HTC users are not used to. But you do not have to worry at all because it is still here. It is hidden in your personalize menu.

With this handset you will always experience smooth transitions from one home screen to another. If you are a previous Sense user, then you will notice that this handset is particularly good.

The phone's lock screen features the famous HTC ring design. This will give you easy and quick access to your favorite features. You can unlock this handset and instantly go to your preferred app. You can do so by simply dragging the ring up.
