Your trampoline is a major investment and I’m sure keeping it maintained for years to come is one of your main concerns. Here are some things to consider helping prolong the life of your trampoline.

1.What are the best ways to prevent your trampoline from getting rusted?

Make sure the trampoline you buy is fully galvanized outside as well as inside. Most manufacturers only galvanized the outside because that is the only area that touches the water. Well that is not true, due to condensation; water will seep thru the inside and sit there for weeks or even months. The rust will start on the inside and start eating out. Make sure the bolts are galvanized as well. Every trampoline will sit outside year round so you have no idea of how the water will enter the trampoline, so all metal parts must be galvanized inside and out.

2. Prevent mats from getting water damaged?

Another big concern with trampoline owners is, can I continue to water my grass with this huge trampoline sitting in my yard. The answer is yes. Make sure you have either a weather cover on the trampoline or have water repellant on the spring cover to prevent any water damage. I understand it is a nuisance to have the weather cover on but in some cases you have spend 3000-4000 for a trampoline so it is probably in your best interest to protect your investment.

3. What if you live in extreme heat conditions where the weather consistently reaches over 110 or 120 degrees?

If you live in extreme heat when the weather consistently reaches over 115 or 120 we recommend having the weather cover over it for sure as well have a UV protectant. If you notice any cracking on the spring mat then we recommend taking off the spring cover and storing it in a cool place until the weather gets better. You should not be jumping in that extremely condition anyways.

4.How to prevent the trampoline legs from bending in and having the bowed shape?

Lots of trampoline owners have trampoline in the backyard and would like to move it for grass cutting or they simply want to move it in a better location. What most owners do is drag their trampoline and it causes the legs to bow in or even snap because they are putting too much pressure on the legs. The best way to move your trampoline is to lift it up. Make sure you have about 3-5 people. No part of the trampoline should be dragging the floor when moving it.
