Sometime before the South Korean auto maker, Hyundai has launched its most anticipated small hatchback in the Indian auto sector.

Sometime before the South Korean auto maker, Hyundai has launched its most anticipated small hatchback in the Indian auto sector. The small car has got great response from car buyers in India and almost register a high number of bookings. Hyundai Motors launch EON to challenge the dominance of Maruti Suzuki in the small compact car market where Alto has been the highest-selling four wheeler for a long, long time. The company has plans to sell a high of 1.5 lakh units of EON in India by the end of this year 2012. Hyundai EON price in India starts from Rs. 2,69,999 and goes up to Rs. 3,71,869.

The small hatchback is powered by a 814 cc three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers a maximum power of 56 BHP at 5,500 RPM and a peak torque of 76 Nm at 4,000 RPM which is quite enough to power this small hatchback. Hyundai EON review suggest that the car comes good in performance and also have good fuel economy. The small car offers an excellent mileage of 21.1 Kmpl and is available in six different variants. Hyundai EON D Lite is the base variant of the car which comes fitted with some standard features like heater and 4 blowers, child lock, chrome radiator grille, engine immobilizer, rear seat belts, cup holder etc. The other variant of the car is Hyundai EON D Lite Optional which include an AC and four wheel cover. The mid variants of the car are Hyundai EON Magma, Hyundai EON Magma optional and Hyundai EON Sportz which include some high end features like rear parcel tray, 2 DIN Radio+CD+MP3 Audio with 2 speakers in front, USB Port, Aux-in Port and a digital clock.

Hyundai EON Era is the high end variant of the car which adorns a tinted glass along with body color bumpers. The EON Era also feature a metallic finish centre console and electric power steering which makes it classy and stylish. The exterior dimensions of Hyundai Eon are 3495 mm X 1625 mm X 1535 mm (L X B X H). The dimensions of the small hatchback is similar to that of Maruti Alto in length but the car comes with a higher roofline. Beside stylishness, the EON car has enough interior space to offer its user a comfortable and luxurious drive as compared to its most competent rival, Maruti Alto. Hyundai EON is the cheapest car from Hyundai Motors in India behind Santro.
