Apple iPhone 4 has enjoyed considerable success in the market. The device is succeeded by iPhone 4S which is an upgrade on the previous device. Despite the entry of the new device, iPhone 4 is all set to continue to do well in the market for some more time to come.

Apple iPhone 4 is one of the best selling smartphones ever to hit the market. The handset that was released in June last year, has had a successful run for over a year. The handset went unchallenged for quite a few months before the other companies came out with other smartphones that challenged Apple’s dominance in the market. But despite of all the competition, iPhone 4 continued to be the most preferred smartphone among the users.
Amidst high speculations, the company has finally launched the next version of iPhone that succeeds the iPhone 4. Contrary to the expectations, the company has not launched iPhone 5 and instead has come out with an upgraded version of iPhone 4. Named Apple IPhone 4S, the handset improves on a number of features. Lets compare the two handsets briefly and see how much of an upgrade the new device is on the previous one.
1) In terms of the design there has been no change. The new device shares the same design as well as the build quality as the old one have.
2) The new device offers the same retina display as offered by its predecessor. The company has kept exactly the same screen. The screen undoubtedly provides one of the best displays. The high-resolution and sharp display makes the whole experience of using the device wonderful.
3) The processor of the new device has improved considerably. While the predecessor has Apple’s 4 processor, the latest device comes with a new dual-core A 5 processor. The new processor makes the device super-quick and everything on the device functions much faster. That’s a big improvement that is sure to attract more users.
4) Camera is one of the major upgrades of the device. Apple iPhone 4 has a 5 mega pixel camera whereas iPhone 4S comes with a much improved 8 mega pixel camera. The camera is back-illuminated that makes it more capable of taking excellent quality pictures in poor lighting conditions. Moreover, the new camera records video 1080p videos as opposed to 720p video recording of the previous device.
No doubt, the latest device has improved on a number of counts. From processor to camera the new device is a much better one to use. So does that mean the old device will be out of the market? That seems unlikely. With prices of the old device being slashed, the device will continue to find new markets.
