Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) invites online applications from Indian citizens for recruitment of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) to the posts of Scientist/Engineer.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) invites online applications from Indian citizens for recruitment of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) to the posts of Scientist/Engineer. VSSC (Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre) Thiruvanthapuram was established beneath ISRO. VSSC is the biggest establishment below ISRO, Department of Space and Government of India. Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is busy in manufacturing of Launch Vehicles, Sounding Rockets and some other space associated elementary research deeds. VSSC is the direct and main centre for pursuing all the foremost and key launch vehicle projects of Indian Space Research Organization, for example- GSLV MkIII, RVL (Re-usable Launch Vehicle),PSLV, GSLV, SRE (Space Capsule Recovery Experiment) and advanced missions like Manned Mission, Inter Planetary Missions, First Indian Moon Mission (Chandrayaan1) etc.
Recruitment and review sector of ISRO has announced recruitment for the year 2012. The educational qualification, age limit and other necessary information required to apply for ISRO recruitment is as below:-
1. Candidate must have completed B.Tech or B.E Degree (Chemical, Aerospace Engineering), M.Sc. (General Chemistry), M.Sc or B.Sc (Agriculture or Horticulture), Diploma (Mechanical Engineering), or equivalent qualification should be attained in first class, minimum with an aggregate of 65 percent marks.
2. The eligible age limit to apply for these openings is maximum 35 years as on 16th February 2012, and minimum 18 years as on 16th February 2012 for general aspirants.
3. For OBC age maximum age limit is 38 years, for SC and ST candidates the maximum age limit is 40 years.
4. For Ex-serviceman and PWD (persons with disability) age relaxation is given as per government rules.
5. The pay scale offered to selected candidates in the year 2012 is of Rs. 15600 to 39100 plus grade pay Rs. 5400
6. In the process of hiring, preference will be given to the children’s and family members of that person who died in the riots occurred in the year 1984.
7. Eligible candidates can apply online without any hassles. Just visit parent website of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.
8. Candidates are advised to download all the requisite information at first. Then before submitting online application, read the information carefully.
9. While applying online, aspirants will be asked to fill in details such as – date of birth, experience details, percentage marks obtained in various levels. Year of passing, etc.
10. After submitting the online application, properly and duly completed as per your knowledge. Save your application on the system
11. Take out one printout of your online application.
12. Attach documents like one copy of your latest photograph duly signed and affixed, testimonials of school and college mark sheets along with your degree certificate copy, caste certificate duly attested in case of OBC and ST.
13. Speed post the printout of online application and the above mentioned documents to the “RECRUITMENT and REVIEW Section of VSSC”.
14. The documents must reach “RECRUITMENT and REVIEW Section of VSSC” within 07 days of online registration.
