New Touch Bar phone, Lava S12 is first Android Smartphone by Lava. S12 boasts 3.2 inch full touch screen and is operational on Android v2.2 OS. Being supported by the Qualcomm 7227 600MHz processor, the phone is power-driven with SRS sound system. Outfitted with the camera of about 5 MegaPixel along with Full Focus, 2x Digital Zoom the phone also features Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS etc. With the weight of about 120, it carries the dimensions 117MM x 57.5MM x 13.4MM.
Powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo), the Lava S12 is really sleek phone being just 13.5mm thick. The matte leather finish and the rounded top and bottom edges make the phone look trendy. The curves and the hard keys have got metallic silver finish. The 600MHz Qualcomm processor and the customizable 3D home screen UI that has exclusive smart folders and a wealthy set of vigorous 3D widgets. The capacitive touchscreen display offers 480 x 320 pixels, the 2GB card is being made available in the box, though the memory can be expended up 32GB and up to7.2Mbps in case of 3G. Further the phone supports1300mAh battery, providing the talk-time of about 650 minutes in 2G and 485 minutes in 3G. The handset functions at frequencies of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / UMTS 2100 MHz. Besides Google apps for instance Gmail, Google Chat and Google Maps, it supports Social Networking applications as well including Twitter, Facebook and Nimbuzz.
There are some applications that are pre-loaded such as Times of India & Moneycontrol for news and business, Saavn, Hungama MyPlay, TuneWiki & YouTube for leisure, Advanced Task Killer and Office Suite (for MS Office 2010, PDF). Moreover, one year subscription of Zenga Mobile TV is completely free to watch TV channels on the go. The SlideIT keyboard that it has got allows easy input.
The Lava mobile has recognized itself as a mobile phone maker that has the unsurpassed benefit of the Indian market at mind.
