Lead tracking is one of the prime functionalities of modern automated lead management system and in this process leads are tracked for the better support scale for sales force. Lead tracking process is the first line analysis of the business potential out of a new lead and it helps largely to identify the segment wherefrom the leads are generated and the consumer segment which is working as responsive against a particular product or a specific service.

Lead track process has other benefits, which lead toward the advantage of better implementation of CRM solution. The detail of a lead as sales prospect gets incorporated into the main data base of a business unit and lead nurturing process utilizes these data base as the platform for their CRM. For example, in education leads the details and opted educational programs are mentioned and with the help of tracking route, better balance of customer care service can be rendered which is again a part of CRM policy implementation process.
