The car industry was shocked to hear that all of Vauxhall’s new cars will come with a lifetime warranty.

The car industry was shocked to hear that all of Vauxhall’s new cars will come with a lifetime warranty. Vauxhall came up with the idea after finding out that KIA’s standard seven-year warranty helped establish it as a mainstream player in the UK car industry.
The move, which takes immediate effect, covers all models in the manufacturer's line-up and applies to the first owner of any Vauxhall registered from August 1 2010 for the lifetime of ownership, or up to 100,000 miles.
The Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty is also extends to fleet and retail sectors and applies to all major components throughout the car's life, including powertrain, steering system, brake system and electrical equipment. Upkeep of the warranty relies on customers visiting a Vauxhall dealer annually for a free vehicle inspection.
Vauxhall Guildford hasn't confirmed if the scheme will also cover the upcoming petrol/electric Ampera, but has said that they have the intention is to cover the Ampera too but If Ampera was in the current line-up then it would have been covered.
