When using these types of glasses for decoration, you can choose really expensive ones and just arrange them in your display cabinet or as center pieces. These give the impression of luxury as they shine like crystal under lighting and give the whole room a sort of elegance and chic look to it. If you have the creativity in you and if you are under budget a little, opt for cheap shot glasses instead to decorate your house. The thing is, cheap or not, there are various ways in which you can use them to decorate your home.
If you do not happen to have a collection at home, don't fret. Just stop by a yard sale or a flea market or you can even go online in search for various designs and sizes. It doesn't matter what color they come in or sayings or engravings craved into it, you can still use it to make unique craft projects to decorate your home with. These craft items can be made with material you find in and around your house, or by buying inexpensive craft items as your local craft store.
If you like the look of it, then do not bother covering it up or if you feel the need to, you can use cloth or paper to wrap the shot glasses. Once you have wrapped a piece of cloth around the glass, secure it with a pretty ribbon or by using craft glue. Make sure that raw edges are securely folded down and they don't show.
Once you are done wrapping the cheap shot glass, you can fill it with anything to your hearts desire. Most people fill it with small silk flowers and vines and then these are arranged on a shelf or window sill or even as table center pieces. Apart from that, if you haven't covered the them with cloth or paper, why not paint them in beautiful colors. You can paint the glasses in colorful strips or you can give it a nice coat of paint and then stick on some sequins and glitter. Images, pictures, shapes of stars and diamonds can also be stuck to the walls of the shot glass.
Apart from that, you can also fill your them with tiny decorative stones. This type of decoration works best for those that are clear, and not covered. Apart from stones, filling them up with multicolored seeds also works fantastic and marbles too create a beautiful effect. One of my personal favorites is to stick on one alphabet on each one to form a certain word. You can do your name or even your favorite quotes as well as messages such as 'Welcome' and 'Thank You'. Each of these creative ways will definitely give your shot glasses a different look.
