A large and comfortable bed is another very important item that any person wants in his or her bedroom and sometimes people spend a lot of money for this. Every person has to spend 6-8 hours every night on his or her bed while sleeping and for this a good bed is very important. Generally the king size beds and double beds are meant for the couples, but a single person can also use these beds if he or she has got the ability to afford. The king size beds are extraordinarily gorgeous and comfortable; but if you are single and cannot afford to spend much money then the single beds are the most obvious choice. Now, if you want to buy a king size bed for your house, then there are several things you should keep in your mind. First of all, you have to consider the size of your room. If your bedroom is not large enough, then buying a king size bed may not prove to be comfortable. The king size beds are pretty large and will occupy most of the space of your small room. So, it is best to go for the single beds in such cases.
While the double bed appears to be standard among English speaking countries, based on the imperial measurement of 4 ft 6 in by 6 ft 3 in (137, 16 cm x 190, 5 cm), the sizes for other bed types tend to vary. The mainland European sizes differ, not merely because of difference based on use of the metric system. A king-sized bed differs from the other sizes in implementation, as it is not common to have a king-sized box spring; rather, two smaller box-springs are used under a king-sized mattress. It is a common misconception that on a U.S. standard or eastern king, the box springs are identical in size to a twin extra-long; however, twin extra-long mattresses next to each other add up to 78 inches wide instead of the 76 inch width that is standard for an eastern king. U.S. terminology refers to a twin bed to mean what is known as a single bed in other countries, whereas other countries understand twin beds to be two single beds in the same room.
For your kids you can buy single beds but now small double beds are more popular and useful. Small double beds have become one of the must have beds by the teens of today.
