Fashion is no longer limited to women and men’s fashion has grown by leaps and bounds. The variety in shirts and pants is vast with manufacturers and designers coming up with styles to suit any taste.

Fashion has evolved ever since man realized he could create clothes. Now, the industry itself is a multi billion dollar business with fashion houses churning out items for men, women and children. The range in clothing is now so vast that it is difficult to figure out what to buy. Fashion is also no longer limited to women and men’s fashion has grown by leaps and bounds. The variety in shirts and pants is vast with manufacturers and designers coming up with styles to suit any taste. While men’s clothing is a little limited compared to that of women’s, it has progressed to a great degree.

Among shirts (Hemden in German), we usually find long-sleeved and short-sleeved. Checks, stripes, dotted and plain are some of the more common patterns. Of course, they can be worn for various occasions and range from the formal to the casual. Denims are much sought after for their durability and rugged appearance. Fortunately, denim is also a material that tends to look good even after it is a little worn out and frayed.

Back in the days, men’s shirts were typically worn under waistcoats and coats and were sported by people who had money to spend. Now, however, it isn’t confined to the select few who can afford it as it comes in a wide price range. And if you thought that a shirt must be a light material garment with collars, cuffs and sleeves, you’ll be surprised to know that even a t-shirt is considered to be a shirt.

There are many types of pants (Hosen in German) as well, some of the commonly known ones being flared, boot cut, high-waisted, low-rise, cigarette, skinny, capris, chinos and khakis. They’re worn by men of all ages though they are preferred by the younger crowd. These trousers can be teamed up with almost any upper clothing to be made to look either smart or casual.

As you can see, the variety of men’s clothes is vast and more designs are created every day. The men’s fashion industry is now as prolific as women’s with men becoming more fashion conscious than ever before. As the economy looks up, we will no doubt see men investing more money in fashion.
