In the year September 2008, Oyster & Pearl hospital for Women and Children came into existence. This brain child of Dr. Avinash Phadnis and Dr.Amita Phadnis was born out of Shree Clinic. Other specialties were gradually started by the end of year 2009. The new departments of Urology and Nephrology were introduced by the year 2010. Later on in December 2010 a new healthcare facility Oyster & Pearl Tulip which specialized in Women and Children care was established at Senapati Bapat Road.

Pediatric Surgery involves surgery on fetuses, infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Children from birth to 17 years come under this category. As Pediatric science advanced, it was realized that medical needs of newborns and infants were very different.
In comparison to adults the immunity in children is low which makes them prone to contract infections. Physically petite, children getting into surgery need smaller tools compared to adults. Reaction and response to treatments in children was also found to be different. Thus Pediatric surgery came into existence to provide them with faster and better care and treatments. The NICU is equipped with Giraffe (highly sophisticated incubator plus warmer), Bili-blanket phototherapy system for jaundice, Bear 750 PSV ventilators, Bubble CPAP and Portable Echo and Ultrasound.
The hospital also runs a four bed, level 2 neonatal ICU at Dalvi Hospital free of cost.
