The grooming of the long haired cats is very necessary and their matting of hair is very frequent. The long haired cats take benefits from their owners in grooming because cats are known as self groomers and prefer to stay clean. The long loose hair if left without grooming, they can become tangled and after that they are very difficult to be detangled. Matted cat fur is very thick and if not brushed regularly, can be a big problem because the covers all the body and is it irritating for the cat to move around actively.
The matted cat fur becomes too big and other hair also gets in the tangled mass. It is advised by the vets that a cat should never be bathed until and unless her hair matting is detangled. If the regular brushing, cutting and scissoring of this matted cat fur is done, than owner of the cat is taking proper care of the cat. The new shiny coat of the cats, after they have shed their fur looks very clean and bright. The coat sheds in different seasons depending upon the different breeds of the cats.
The new coats cover the cat body which is shiny and this shiny coat needs to be looked after and grooming is to be done on regular basis just to keep the cat healthy because if grooming isn’t done properly, than a cat is more prone to bacterial diseases and infection and allergies as well. A cat’s health is an important issue and taking care of cats is not that easy just because they need a lot of time.
