Cement is a kind of hydraulic binding material. When mixed with water, cement will change from plasticity slurry into hard rocks after a series of physical and chemical actions. As to the hardening conditions, cement can harden by exposing to air and can harden even better in water, and the water will keep and reinforce its hardness, so cement materials can be used in overground projects as well as underground projects.
There are six kinds of universal cement mill used in building roads and bridges: Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement, Portland slag cement, Portland-pozzolan cement, Portland fly - ash cement and compound cement. Besides, in some special projects the high-alumina cement, expansive cement, rapid hardening cement and some others can be used. But Portland cement and ordinary Portland cement are mainly used in engineering constructions.
The wide use of cement increases the cement output and this also requires more on cement technology. Using the roller press in the cement milling process is popularly adopted by some modern cement enterprises. Its main technical process is Gravity Sieve Separating Dedusting and Crushing System.
The main processes can be divided into three steps. The first step is to put clinkers, slag and plaster into gravity cement separator. The second step is to separate the materials whose diameters are larger than 6mm from those smaller than 6mm with the help of gravity sieve separator. The last step is to transmit the relatively larger materials to roller press and the smaller ones to vertical roller mill . In order to prevent site failures from happening to the roller press and influencing the work of vertical roller mill, the system has equipped with the by-passing pipeline and switch of gravity sieve separator which are both controlled by electric limit switch. Once there is something wrong with the crusher, the gravity sieve separator will be switched on immediately and the materials will transmit into the pass-by pipeline. The system will check and repair the roller press simultaneously. During all these processes the vertical roller mill works normally.
There are several matters needing attentions. The first one is that when roller press is working, the clavate valve needs to open completely and the feeding hole should open to the maximum so that the roller cover could bear the same pressure. The second matter is that when the materials are imported from the passing-by pipeline, all the clavate valve must be shut up. The operators must pay special attentions to preventing the materials transmitting to crusher room when the crusher goes wrong. The last one is that only when all the materials are smashed, can the crusher be stopped; if not, the crusher can not be started normally next time. The application of roller press, to some extent, protects the operation of vertical roller mill. It increases the cement technology as well as the output. It also fulfills the requirements of different clients more successfully.
