Who are Rosarios 4?
Rosarios 4 are a yarn company based in Portugal that were set up in 1979. The company began with hand knitting yarns and over time progressed to tapestry yarns as well. However the hand knitting yarns are still a large part of their business with them often developing new yarns. They have two collections that are release annually, these are their spring/summer collection and their autumn/winter collection. They aim to set trends with types of yarns and colours available. In recent years they have put a lot of time and invention into developing natural yarns using natural fibres such as bamboo, milk protein and corn. They have also developed a way of using natural dyes that are developed from vegetable parts and insect extracts with the aim of respecting the environment and being at balance with nature.
Rosarios 4 Innovations
Of all the yarn companies I have come across I would say that Rosarios 4 are probably the most innovative. I have heard that they were the first company to produce a yarn that was 100% bamboo and that all of the other companies followed them in this. Over recent times that have shown more innovation producing yarns that are made of milk protein and wool. When I first saw this I could not believe it was possible but then I saw the yarn and knew why they had done it. The yarn is silky and soft and something that would be perfect for making that luxurious garment you are after.
They have also spent time developing a yarn that is made out of popcorn. Again something that you would never have thought of but it also works well producing yarns of the highest quality. At the moment I am aware of some exciting new innovations they are working on that could really produce some amazing yarns.
I like Rosarios 4 because they are so different to the other yarn companies that you see and truly offer unique yarns that you cannot get anywhere else. If you are looking to make a garment that will really impress your friends and be something that very few people have then Rosarios 4 could be the perfect option for you.
