Samsung has come out with a number of smartphones especially in the high-end range. With several successful launches, the company has managed to break the dominion of Apple in the market. This not only helped the company to increase its market share but has also provided more choices to the consumers. The year 2011 has been particularly good for the company. Besides the Samsung Galaxy S2, that broke all sales records, the company has come out with other handsets as well that have done well in the market.
Samsung Galaxy Fit is one of the successful handsets from the company that was released in March 2011. The handset doesn’t have the sky-high features of Galaxy S2 nor has it achieved the same success. But like all Galaxy range smartphones, Galaxy Fit comes with a number of impressive features that makes it a good buy. What all does it has to offer? And more importantly can it hold its own especially in front of the Galaxy S2? Let’s take a look.
This mid-range smartphone comes with a 3.3 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen. The design and the styling of the device is good. The screen resolution of 240 x 320 pixels is no doubt a bit low. But the overall display with regards to the picture and the colour quality is satisfactory. The one-size-fits-all screen size is also a good factor that should be taken into account. The handset doesn’t make a big show by having a huge screen that some of the high-end devices have. The 3.3 inch size is appropriate for all those who do not desire big screen handsets and at the same time do not like to use the small screens that don’t allow them to access all the features comfortably.
Some of the other features of the device are also quite modest. The device has been powered by the 600 MHz processor and has the internal storage space of 160 MB. The card slot is available that helps to expand memory up to 32 GB. The device has the 5 mega pixel camera that anyone would expect in a handset. With 3G and Wi-Fi, the connectivity features remain good, so is the battery life.
Samsung Galaxy Fit is a mid-range device. Surely it is not a competitor to Galaxy S2 which comes with the top most features. However, the device is a good choice for everyone looking for an economical smartphone.
