He said, "The iPhone 4S has generated a huge level of interest from consumers, with retailers really finding it tough to cope with the high demand, even a month post-launch. This situation has certainly been compounded by the iPhone 4S's surprising level of affordability.
"However, this should not take anything away from Samsung's achievement with the ever popular Galaxy S2. It is undoubtedly the phone of the year, critically acclaimed and capturing the interest of smartphone addicts across the country for the last eight months."
This is a clear indication that the trend is now changing. Of course, there is no way for the S2 to maintain its popularity forever. There will come a point when it relinquishes its reign to another handset. It may be an iPhone or it could be something else. However, maintaining the title as the top selling smartphone in the market for 8 months is no easy feat. It did this by offering the consumer a larger 4 inch display, a more powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and a slim 8.5 mm profile. These are the reasons why the Samsung Galaxy S2 is still the top selling smartphone in the market.
