Electric motors are used to generate electric energy with the help of electromagnetic energy to enable machines perform their tasks rapidly, while consuming less time both at commercial and domestic scales.

Every machine that solves the purpose of accomplishing any task quickly is usually fitted with an electric motor that enables it to do so. Discovered by Michael Faraday in 1830, creation and emergence of electric motor brought about a revolution in commercial as well as domestic sectors. An electric motor thus, functions on the prime principle of magnetic energy that produces an electric field when wires are made in contact with it. In other words, we can say that electric motors are devices that are used for running electric utilities with the help of electromagnetism.
What all Things Require Electric Motors?
For domestic purpose, electric motors are used in fans, home appliances such as mixers & grinders, washing machines, sewing machines etc among other daily utility items. The devices are of utmost importance as they help in carrying out the daily functions in smooth and efficient manner. However, on the commercial scale these are used in coolers, air conditioning systems, generators etc. Therefore, it is clear that the usage of electric motors runs quite a lot of machines used in day to day lives.
Electric Motors Vs Traditional Ways of Working-Which Method is Better?
Initially, when there were no machines, most of the tasks were performed manually. Manually means, tasks involved man force to accomplish their activities instead of machines. To explain it more further, let us take the case of a bicycle that was the prime mode of transportation before the advent of automobile industry. Although, bicycles proved to be eco friendly it took a lot of time to go from one place to the other and was equally a tiresome job. However, when electric cars were introduced this problem reduced. Why? Because these were fitted with electric motors and that helped people move anywhere easily without getting tired.
What will Happen if No Electric Motors are Used?
If no electric motors are used, domestic and commercial lives will get slow and the work done with the help of machines in large industries or even at homes will get triggered. Commercially, large industries will suffer from huge monetary losses, whereas no household work could be done properly.
Life without machines will become very slow and that things will be slow down resulting in either monetary losses or incomplete tasks.
