Six Satanic Weapons

Satan is a cunning adversary and knows just what it takes to destroy our hopes, happiness and our need for God. He uses knowledge that spans time and eternity to use against us while we only have a limited amount of years on this earth to learn about him. Our short life span put up against Satan's amassed knowledge makes us ill equipped against this mighty enemy. But be not afraid, because God's Scriptures are the weapons we use against this ardent foe, whose only goal is to defeat your life.

Remember, God didn't create Satan, but rather the Angel Lucifer by his own choice became Satan through rebellion against God. The word Satan means, the enemy, the one who is against. Satan is also known as the Accuser of the brethren and the Father of lies. Satan purposed in his heart to unjustly accuse the God of Creation of being unfair and accused God of holding back good things from God's creation.

Here are Satan's six main attacks on all of mankind.

Deception: Satan's most successful tool. He wields this tool with devastating results.
Doubt: Makes you question God's word and his goodness.
Discouragement: Makes you look at your problems rather than God.
Diversion: Makes the wrong things seem attractive so you want them more than the right things.
Defeat: Makes you feel like a failure so you don't even try.
Delay: Makes you put off something so it never gets started or completed.

The Devil or Satan accuses man to himself, man to others, and man to God. He uses the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life in his attacks. He is selfish (he uses the word 'I Will' five times in the book of Isaiah) and places this same motive in the hearts of men. The evil one always calls to our minds with questions and doubts, here's some examples of this. He and his servants use the word if a lot.

The serpent in the garden of Eden (Satan in disguise). "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" (Genesis 3:2)

"The LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?" (Job 1:8-9)

"And when the tempter came to Him (Jesus), he (Satan) said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread." (Matthew 4:3)

"And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." (Matthw 4:6)

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world,,and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me." (Matthew 4:8-9)

"And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross." (Matthew 27:39-40)

"Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God." (Matthew 27:41-43)

"And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us." (Luke 23:39) Satan has control over large sectors of the world, his strategy is multi-pronged approach, he does not just attack from one angle. He comes from many diverse parts of society, Satan is at war with God and those who are saved, we can never forget this. It is to our own peril when put down our guards against him.

Satan goes after the mind, since the physical world is merely where the tangible events are seen.

Satan attacks the way people think, for this reason he seeks access to the area in our life, where can gain control of our thinking. This is why we are told about those who are perishing without Christ, how Satan accomplishes his work. He has blinded their minds so they will not believe. This is not just about religion, it is about all aspects of thinking. Satan is a lion on the hunt, looking for prey.

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

Satan will use every tool at his disposal to prevent people from seeing the Gospel. Its no accident that Jesus is mocked in the media, the Bible barred from work and schools. Christians are ridiculed because Satan’s goal is to blind the lost. Our job is to rescue the lost, to bring them into the kingdom. This is also why, we as Christians need to equip ourselves to pull down the lies Satan has established in the hearts and minds of those in our circle of influence. We are at war too, against the works of Satan.

Another strategy Satan uses is religion, Satan to counter the gospel, will offer a counterfeit “truth” complete with another Jesus. Islam and Mormonism, have a “Jesus” as part of their faith, they also have their own prophets. The Muslim Jesus and Mormon Jesus is an another Jesus, now if you asked a Muslim or Mormon, they would tell you, “I believe in Jesus too!” The problem is, their Jesus is not the Jesus of the bible, its the creation of their false prophets, Mohammad and Joseph Smith.

"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Corinthians 11:4,13-15)

On the Day of Judgment, those who put faith in a false gospel will be confronted with their error. Jesus says on that day He will tell them, He “Never” knew them. There was never a relationship, they were never born again of the water (baptism in Jesus' name) and the (Holy) Spirit; this is the goal of Satan, he is at war for the souls of humanity.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. " (Matthew 7:15, 21-23)

This is Satan’s plan of attack, one method is to prevent people from seeing the Gospel, by attacking religion and faith, the other is to embarrass religion, but present a false “Gospel”. Satan is at war, the Bible is our sword in this battle for the souls of humanity. We need to learn to use the weapons provided.

Satan wages war on many scales; here are some his main goals or strategies;

1) He attacks individual’s to prevent them coming to the Gospel .
2) He creates large scale deceptions through institutions; government and educational.
3) He counterfeits the gospel presenting another Jesus with false teachers. (i.e. Islam, Mormonism, Da Vinci Code)
4) He attacks believers to prevent them from being presenting the Gospel to the lost.
5) He creates stronghold using the media and other methods enter the mind.
6) He destroys families.

Finally, against all Satan’s tactics and strategies, among your best spiritual weapons are:

1) The blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.

2) The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

3) The Word of God. Jesus to Satan in the temptation in the wilderness: “It is written ... it is written ... it is written.”

He has a popular single on New York called Empire State of Mind. Look up the lyrics. You will be shocked to discover the part where he says that Jesus can’t save you, and that life begins when the Church ends. Also his video’s are laced with Occult symbols. Beyonce, Jay Z’s wife said her alter ego which she has named Sasha Fierce takes over, and she does things she would never do when she is performing on stage (it sounds exactly like demonic possession to me). In her interviews, Beyonce describes her own performances as Sasha Fierce like an experience coming right out of The Exorcist. “When I’m onstage I’m aggressive and strong and not afraid of my sexuality. The tone of my voice gets different, and I’m fearless. I’m just a different person.” Another way to put this is that she has allowed herself to become possessed.
