Ski Wisconsin
The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort is one of the most popular destinations in the Chicago and Milwaukee area for downhill skiing and snowboarding, while the 30,000-sq. ft. Moose Mountain Falls indoor waterpark at TimberRidge Lodge bolsters Grand Geneva's ability to serve as the area's only all-season resort. Easily accessible by automobile, the resort is located just 90 minutes from Chicago's northern suburbs and 45 minutes from Milwaukee, making Grand Geneva the closest ski resort to both Milwaukee and the Greater Chicago region.
The Mountain Top offers 18 challenging ski slopes up to one-quarter mile long, full equipment rental and two beginner hills which feature “Wonder Carpet” technology and act as moving walkways to glide beginners easily up the hill (a.k.a. ‘no more tow ropes').
Lessons are available for both individuals and groups and Grand Geneva's Ski and Snowboard School is a member of Professional Ski Instructors of America.
Best of all, weather is never an object at Grand Geneva as the resort's snowmaking crew can convert 1,200 gallons of water per minute into some of the finest snow for skiing in the Midwest. And the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down as nighttime skiing is available seven days a week.
Wisconsin Waterpark Resort
For guests who have spent a day on the slopes or for those just needing to soak their bones, refuge can be sought at Moose Mountain Falls in either of two giant whirlpools, one of which offers indoor-to-outdoor accessibility.
Open since 2001 and designed as a shallow water entertainment complex to appeal to both children and adults, Moose Mountain Falls is a 50,000-square foot indoor/outdoor Wisconsin water park complete with two giant slides which begin three stories above ground and wind 300-feet before finishing at ground level. A winding “lazy river” is also featured as are numerous play areas and slides for all age levels.
Grand Geneva offers an assortment of stay and play packages through early March, 2009, combining luxurious overnight accommodations with both skiing or snowboarding at The Mountain Top and splashing around at Moose Mountain Falls.
