This article is mainly based on one of the most important topic of mathematics that is Algebra. Algebra is like playing game, It seems like playing with variables. You need to practice it to become best in it. To solve Algebra, students need to improve their basic concepts like multiplications, fractions etc. As we move towards our higher grades Algebra becomes complicated. A daily practice and hard work will help you too get confidence. Algebra is a branch of mathematics which deals with the study of the rules of operations and relations. It is a part of mathematics in which letters and symbols are used in place of numbers and quantities to form an equation and formula. algebraic expressions is basically an expression having one or more variables made up of signs and symbols of algebra. Symbols can be an Arabic numerals , literal numerals or mathematical operators. Let's take an example:

x – z = c

Here x and z are variables, c is a constant and 1 is a coefficient of variable x and 1 is a coefficient of variable z.

Basically an equation is a mathematical expression which shows the equality of two expressions. For example x + y = 6. An equation is of many types like linear equation, quadratic equation, differential equation, partial differential equation etc.. The most common type of equations which are used in almost every section of maths are linear and quadratic equations.

Now I am going to discuss about linear equations in mathematics. Any equation that when graphed produces a straight line, then the equation is called as linear equation. The common form of a linear equation in the two variables like x and y is

y = mx + b

where x and y are two variables and m and b are two constants.

The constant m determines the slope or gradient of that line and the constant b shows the point at which line crosses the Y-axis. Constant b also known as Y-Intercept.

Differential Equation is an equation which involves dependent variables and their derivatives with respect to the independent variables or we can say that it is an equation involving derivatives of a function or functions. It plays an important role in various fields like engineering, physics, economics and other sections also. To solve quadratic equation we need to know quadratic formula. General form of quadratic equation is ax2+ bx + c = 0.

and the formula is: -b±root of squared b – 4ac / 2a.
