Are you interested in a career in Information Technology, but you are also interested in security? If you are then there is a way for you to merge the two and get a career that you will love and enjoy. To merge the two you could actually work in the field of information security. As the number of hackers continues to rise each year, companies are continuously in need of persons to ensure that their network and information concerning their business and customers are secure and this is where you come in.

However, having a desire to merge the two is not enough as there is also the need for acquiring the skills and techniques required to counteract and protect against the actions of hackers. One of the best ways to do this is to become certified, and if this is the direction you are considering there are actually many certification options available to you, here are a few:

CEH – This certification is known as the Certified Ethical Hacker and is perfect for security officers, site administrators, auditors and just about anyone that has to do with the integrity of a network of a company’s infrastructure. The focus of this level of training is the tools and technologies involved in hacking.

ECSA – This is the EC-Council Certified Security Analyst certification and is more advanced than the CEH. While the CEH certification focuses on educating persons about the technologies and tools involved in hacking, ECSA takes it up another notch by equipping persons with the technique required to critically assess the end result of these tools and technologies.

By using this knowledge, students will therefore be able to perform extensive assessments which may be necessary for test and secure the company’s network from hackers. It is therefore perfect for information testers, risk assessment professionals, network server administrators, system administrators and firewall administrators.

LPT – The Licensed Penetration Tester is the highest level of certification for anti-hackers. In order to achieve this level of certification you would need to acquire the two certifications mentioned before. This course basically seeks to equip persons with the best techniques and practices used in the security industry. With this level of certification persons provide consulting and penetration testing internationally and also conducts and practice security testing in companies endorsed by EC-Council.

In order to receive hacker training for any of these certification you would could choose to undergo a 5 day intensive training where you will not only be taught the theory involved at each level but would also receive hands on training.
