You absolutely must learn how to approach women if you intend to improve your dating choices. The majority of guys, unfortunately, just don't have a clue how to "break the ice" with a girl they haven't met before -- and so they chicken out and say nothing at all, and blow their opportunity.

If they had simply understood how to approach women, those guys could have easily obtained a phone number or a date in that situation.

In my book Mack Tactics I reveal a bunch of maneuvers for approaching women, but for right now let me give you three ways to approach women to get you started.

How To Approach Women Technique #1, "Facebook Friends": Here's a good way to approach women at bars. Smile and say to them, “Hey, I saw you on Facebook, I think we have a friend in common.” This one is a gem because nowadays virtually every woman on the planet has a Facebook account, and it’s entirely plausible that you do have a mutual friend.

You don't need to get into a discussion about which "friends" you might actually have in common. Now that you've opened the conversation and engaged her interest, you can switch to another topic.

Approach Women Tactic #2, "Phone Flirting": If she’s using her cell phone, wait until she finishes her call or her text and then use this Opener: “Hi, what kind of phone is that? I need to buy a phone for a friend of mine, for her birthday, and I think that’s the one she wants.”

The girl will tell you the model of her phone, and then you say, “Can I take a picture with it real quick? I’d like to see how good the camera is.” Have her show you how to take a picture...then use her phone to take a picture of her. Be playful -- have her do a “model” pose. Once you take the picture, she’s naturally going to come in close to you so that she can see the result. (That’s a funny thing about girls; they’re crazy about taking pictures, especially of themselves, and they can’t resist immediately checking how the photo came out.)

Then you can show her your own phone. If yours is a lot less fancy than hers, you can mention that you need to buy a new phone, and ask her advice. On the other hand, if you've got a cool phone, you're demonstrating to her that you stay up on the cool and trendy new devices. That's a good thing. And even better, since both of you are now holding your phones, it becomes very easy to do the "phone number exchange" that I explain how to do in the Mack Tactics book.

How To Approach Women Technique 3, "The Birthday Gift": Take notice of a small detail of her appearance. This could be her necklace, earring, handbag, dress, etc. Then you simply say to the girl, "Pardon me, I just wanted to tell you that's a very nice (fill in the blank). I have to shop for a birthday gift for my friend Lisa and I think she'd love one of those. Where did you buy it?"

This opener seems to work almost every time because you’re bringing up a topic that women naturally want to talk about. Think about it: do you know any women who don't like talking about the best places to go shopping? Also, by saying that you need to purchase a birthday present for a friend, you're planting the "seed" in her mind that you're a thoughtful, generous dude; those are qualities any woman is impressed by.

The following is a bonus word of advice: If you're having a hard time finding unique details about most women that you can use to comment on, here's a helfpul exercise. Have a seat outside a coffee shop or cafe and spend thirty minutes or so casually watching the women walking past, and observing details about them. Try to notice an interesting detail about every one of them. When you “train” your eye to notice these details, it becomes easy to do. When you become skilled at this, you will almost always be able to observe an interesting detail about a woman and make a comment that will kick off the interaction.

Those were just a few methods for approaching girls. The key to learning how to approach women is to get out there and start practicing! Don't worry about rejection, just keep improving and before long approaching women will be a fun part of your daily routine.
