Any business that has an office or a retail location can use office removals services. These businesses can range from an accountancy firm to an architectural firm. Of course different offices perform different functions and the office furniture and office machines or equipment may vary.
In any of these cases the consigning company would probably not be packing the pieces and will probably have the office removals company personnel pack them up. This way they company knows everything is properly and safely packed to prevent any damage to the pieces. It is often more cost efficient to have a moving company send in packers instead of using office personnel to pack up an entire law office or architectural firm. Especially when you consider an architectural firm may have large blue print machines that may have to be moved.
Of course a business like a CPA would use the services of a moving company to move them to a new location. In this case the company would probably let the moving company do the packing except for any items the employees want to pack and carry to the new location on their own, like the contents of their desk or modular space. However a small CPA firm may choose to pack up most of their financial documents and have them labeled and ready for pick up by the moving company.
When an office removals firm comes in to move an office that move may have to take place on a weekend so the office can continue to operate until closing time on Friday evening and then reopen Monday morning. There are removals firms that specialize in office moves and there are removals companies who like office moves because they can make more money over a weekend when they usually don’t move individual households.
One thing moving companies generally do not face when moving offices versus individual households are ATVs and patio furniture which are often oversize but don’t weigh very much. An office generally has desks or modules and fairly typical office furniture. Legs may have to come off desks or reception furniture but it is still fairly standard items. Where an office may have awkward items is that architectural firm and the blue print machines or a theatre company that has stage sets and props which movers would not encounter at an individual home.
If they have to use an elevator or lift or stairs to complete the pick up or delivery of the office goods they may attach an additional charge. This would be computed on where the elevator or lift is in relationship to office destination or the number of flights of stairs and whether they are inside or outside stairs.
Professional office movers make a moving job go smoother. They are professionals and are quite familiar with office type moves. They have the right equipment to perform the job competently.
