What to do if your advertising becomes SPAM?

Posted On : Feb-23-2015 | seen (1145) times | Article Word Count : 449 |

What is the line between advertising and SPAM? Every day people see, hear, touch, read advertisements that were not solicited and not relevant in any way. There are visitors who subscribe to the news of a site to unsubscribe immediately after and there are those who forget of enrollment and the first sending of an email spam minded. The discussion on the nature of spam is sometimes useless, and we should say that advertising is spam if the person who receives it recognizes it as such.
Better to accept this definition, because the effectiveness of a campaign could change when the recipients regarded as spam (even if it were not SPAM...)

But what are the criteria that define an advertisement as spam?
Better still: why do some advertising are considered SPAM and others are not? It is not just the fact of the interruption, or of unsolicited advertising. Nobody urges advertising.

The obligation to consult the publicity.
I click somewhere and opens an advertisement. I go down the page and get publicity. Are forced to see her. I wonder what the rate aware of clicks on these ads and how many are a statistical error. In some situations coming to hate the brand.

Access blocked by advertising.
Sometimes to access a service are obliged to go to a commercial. If you can not see the contents without worry, OK for advertising. Otherwise, it is spam, and the site owner a spammer. Once it has an alternative, I might consider changing solution.

The repetitive advertising.
Enough is enough. A sometimes okay, twice ok, but a daily newsletter is a nuisance. Same sender, the same media, always advertising offers. For me it is spam.

The unsolicited advertising.
I never asked to receive this advertising. That is, I did. I did it when I accepted the conditions of use which constitute acceptances to receive advertising messages. In other words: we agreed on something, without knowing it and not voluntarily requested. Even this is SPAM.
1. You have to take the point of view of the consumer to understand how to act.
2. Give a chance easy and visible to no longer receive your advertising.
3. A link at the bottom of the email, clearly visible. But even the less intrusive advertising on your website.

Segment and clean.
Segment and continually cleans your database to send the right message to the right people. Improve your use of Adwords.

Discover the limits of endurance.
As soon as someone tells you: It's too! Stop immediately. Discover the limit of advertising that you can send each month. Send satisfaction surveys to understand what your prospects are ready to receive.

Be always clear.
Avoids misunderstandings, simplifies your offer and simplifies your sales conditions. The people, who do not read the legal notice, do not want to be trapped into something they do not understand having enrolled or purchasing... If you lose a bit 'of money on sales is only a short-term loss. Much better to collect a constant figure that having a peak followed by a long abyss, where it will take a long time and much money to be able to get back on top.
