In case of the transportation of such goods, the IMDG training and the DOT training is extremely essential for all the people who directly or indirectly are involved in handling of the products. The IMDG stands for the International Maritime Dangerous Goods. And the DOT stands for the Department of transportation. Both these are just guidelines about how to handle the dangerous goods with care so that no harm is done with the environment, the human beings of themselves while they are busy with the transportation process. As per the DOT guidelines, any employee without the proper IMDG training can also handle the hazardous materials as long as he has sufficient and previous experience. He must work under the direct supervision of any expert hazardous materials consultant professional who has proper training in his background. Usually all the employees with the IMDG and the DOT training are experts in their domain and are perfectly skilled. But then as per the rules and guidelines of DOT, each employee must be retrained every three years on the latest guidelines of the HAZMAT training.
